Here’s a review of one of the really great romance websites and newsletter(s) that I recently discovered! It’s called Sweet Slap.. it’s really fun, unique, and best of all, it’s totally free. Once you sign up at Sweet Slap you fill out a Personalized Relationship Profile including things like whether you are married or dating, your age, whether or not you have children, important romantic date ideas, and how long you have been together.
Just what is “Marriage Fitness?” We’ll get to that in a moment. First, let’s look at the state of marriage fitness in this country right now. Marriage experts tell us about half of all marriages fail. That’s a pretty poor prognosis. But why is that? It is crucial that we understand why, so that we might not fall into that predicament ourselves.
American’s hold a romantic outlook when it comes to the lone wolf. Whether it is a cowboy and his horse, a super hero fighting the forces of evil, or just a good person trying to do their best in tough times, there is a certain part of our psych that just enjoys to be left alone.
Here’s another article from Mortel Fertel (Marriage Fitness). I read this to Rich this morning and said I thought Mort has a unique perspective on communication skills. Rich said, “Oh, I already know how to communicate when I feel you don’t hear me… I RAISE MY VOICE AND I YELL! CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW???!!!” LOL. So that’s Rich’s perspective, from a true joker at heart, can you tell? All kidding aside though, Mort does have a unique perspective, and that is, it’s all about connecting with each other… that is where good communication truly needs to start. 
If you’d ask your partner (girlfriend, fiancé, spouse) a thousand questions, good questions that were well thought out, don’t you think that you’d get to know them pretty well. Maybe you’d even get to know them well enough that you could make a better decision on whether or not you’re compatible enough to marry that person. Or, maybe you could learn enough about your spouse in order to make your marriage better and enjoy a deeper sense of love and fulfillment. And, you might just being able to avoid attending couples counseling.
Why do women cheat on their husbands? They cheat for some of the same reasons as men. Women and men both get bored with their predictable, dull relationships.
