Five Keys for Unlocking Libido Enhancement in Men – Key #Three: Avoiding the Sex Killers

As you can tell by now, unlocking the “secret” to libido enhancement in men is not so secret. It is also not very complicated. Getting exercise, eating the right foods and avoiding the garbage that we seem to regularly put into our bodies is a pretty common sense approach to fighting low libido in men. Today, I want to focus on avoiding the junk in our diet and bad habits (sex killers) that can not only ruin our sex lives, but in the long run, also kill our bodies. Here are five things to avoid:

1. Smoking – the life threatening affects of smoking are very well documented so it won’t be necessary to reiterate them here. However, what many people don’t realize is the deleterious affect smoking has on their libido. Why? Men who smoke frequently have high blood pressure. A study released in 2000 by the Journal of Urology showed that 68 % of men with high blood pressure between the ages of 40 and 79 had experienced Erectile Dysfunction.

And, high blood pressure has been shown to lower testosterone levels. Testosterone is the hormone critical for sexual arousal to occur. High blood pressure from smoking can also restrict blood flow to the penis, making in very difficult, if not impossible to have or even maintain an erection. Can anyone say ED?

2. Alcohol – According to WebMD men who consume more than 2 alcoholic beverages a day can suffer from erectile dysfunction and low libido. This is because alcohol restricts blood flow to the penis and can also lower testosterone. Now that’s a bad combination for anybody’s “cocktail!”

3. Illegal Drugs – Some people believe that using illegal drugs can enhance their sex lives. However, medical researchers have found that just like prescription drugs have sexual side effects, so too can illegal drugs. Some drugs can lead to impotency. Other drugs can lead to an inability to achieve an orgasm. So, using illegal drugs kind of takes away the “recreation” out of recreational drug usage.

4. Caffeine – The concerns about consuming this legal drug have persisted for many years. According to Mayo Clinic researchers, the results are inconclusive as to whether caffeine can cause high blood pressure (it does for some people, but not everyone). Some researchers claim that caffeine can help some women to desire sex more. Regardless, most medical practitioners advise moderation. People who are sensitive to caffeine and are concerned about male libido should avoid this altogether.

5. Saturated Fats – It is pretty common knowledge in the health community that saturated fats can lead to higher cholesterol levels, which can lead to clogged arteries, heart attacks, strokes and obesity. Anything this bad can’t be good for your sex life. Suffice to say that too much saturated fat can decrease circulation of the blood to your genital area. This is NOT a good thing.

Avoiding these sex killers can definitely help unlock libido enhancement for you. Along with exercise and a good diet, these keys can open up a new and exciting chapter in your love making history with your partner.
