Writing a Romantic Love Poem for Your Valentine

Ok. You’re on the hunt for the best love poems, or even just some short romantic love poems. Well, this year you have a real choice for Valentine’s Day. You can stand in line at your local store and buy the expensive cards, or you can buy a cheap one at the discount store and still stand in line (bad call!). Or, you can REALLY win her heart over and write your very own romantic love poem for your sweetheart.

Why write your own romantic poem for Valentine’s Day? Well, it’s NOT to save you money or time. The card is usually the least expensive part of the holiday gift tradition. And, unless you’re very indecisive, it doesn’t take that much time to pick out a pretty card with hearts and kisses that someone else took a lot of time to prepare. And that’s just the point. Someone else took the time. If you were that someone who took the time to make your sweetheart feel special, then buddy, you are in for a BIG payoff!

“But, I suck at writing love poems”, is your reply. Let me tell you something. Women don’t care so much about the perfection of the verse. It doesn’t even have to rhyme. It just has to be honest and come from your heart. It should tell her something of how she makes you feel, and about how special she is (with the focus on her). You want to show her how much she means to you by getting at her emotions, and her very soul.

She will be impressed that you took the time, you thought through what you wanted to say to her, and you made something for her with your own two hands. Even if you’re not good at drawing pictures, you can get stuff printed off of the internet, or send her pictures by email that can be printed. So, why not give it a try? Both you and your Valentine will be glad you did.
